It started snowing yesterday during MU's devastating loss to KU, and this is what we woke up to this morning. It isn't much, but to you southerners, it probably looks like a blizzard!
Ethan was so excited to see the snow on the deck. He thought there was enough to throw some snowballs. Neither of us can wait for that much snow!!!

WHAT IS THIS THING ON MY HEAD??? Jan Brady, anyone?
Exercising and tummy time. Kelsey is doing a great job of holding her head up and looking around.

Chris said this headband made her look like she was ready to play in the NBA. I think it's adorable. I can't wait for her to get hair so we can do pigtails, and clippies, and bows!
Mommy and Kelsey just hanging out at Granny and Poppa's. She was so warm and snuggly and relaxed.

I think in every picture I took of Finn, he was sleeping. Oh well...he's sweet.

Kelsey and Finn. Poor little guy, he was so sleepy! I think this family must have worn him out.

Finn all bundled up and ready to see the lights at the plaza....Now if only he could just stay awake for it.....

Ethan loves his baby sister! He was watching Barnyard and it really looked like they were watching it together.
Angelina and a very sleepy Finn. Holidays are so much for little ones to handle. Christian and Angelina, I'm so glad you were able to be here and we got to meet sweet little Finn.
Happy Kelsey with Poppa on Thanksgiving. He lucked out. Since Granny was sick, he got to hold both Kelsey and cousin Finn as much as he wanted. He even got his pumpkin pie last so he could hold the babies!

A big family Thanksgiving at Bob and Diane's. It was great to have everyone here.

Thanksgiving was just too much for Kelsey! She was worn out! I think this picture is cute, she looks very lady-like with her hands folded.

Kelsey's first bath at home.
It's not easy to see, but she's looking at herself in the mirror in this picture. It kept her from crying the whole time....but then she got mad, and cold.

Clean and cute!

New pictures! It's been a little hectic around here! My mom and dad have been here and went home on Wednesday. I'm so glad that my mom was able to be here for Kelsey's birth. Daddy, it seems like the only thing that gets you up here is when I have a baby! I'm joking, I know your schedule is busy, busy, busy. Believe me, I understand. All joking aside, it was great and special to have my parents here, even if they could only stay a short time. I only wish we were closer so that they could see Ethan and Kelsey more often. 750 miles makes a difficult weekend trip.
Kelsey finally gets to meet Grandpa! Daddy, I'm so glad you could come up. It was great to see you, I miss you a lot.
She looked so cozy and sweet all wrapped up, but we were going out to dinner with Mom and Dad, so we had to wake her up and get her dressed. I love the outfit she wore, it is so cute. Thank you, Diane!

Just hanging out at home. We went ahead and put up our Christmas trees because I thought Kelsey would enjoy looking at the lights. So, we lay her on the floor in front of the tree in the living room every day so she can exercise and look around. She loves it.

I am so happy that Ethan seems to want to help with his baby sister and isn't jealous. He asked yesterday if he could feed her. I want him to feel like he's an important part of taking care of her, so I got them all set up in Chris' chair. He did a very good job. I told him that if he got tired to let me know and I would take over for him. As soon as I said that he said "I'm tired. You take her." Oh well....three minutes of feeding her was a good bonding experience for both of them.

I cannot believe he used to fit in a car seat this size! He seems enormous next to Kelsey!

Chris and I would like to welcome our new baby. Her name is Kelsey Jean Johnson, born November 10, 2008 at 8:00 in the morning. 6 pounds, 5 ounces, 18 inches. She is our tiny princess.
The morning of our special day. Chris and I were both nervous and excited to meet our little one.
Getting ready to go into the operating room for the c-section.

Here she is! Welcome to the world, Kelsey Jean Johnson!

Weighing in at a "hefty" 6 lbs. 5 oz. 18 inches.

A less than flattering picture of me, but I got to hold my little baby and have my big baby right beside me.

Ethan holding his new baby sister. He was so funny, once everyone got to take their pictures, he said "Okay, can we take her off now?" I think he didn't want her in his lap anymore.

Kelsey's first bath

Uncle David giving his new niece a "talking to".

Pretty Granny holding a pretty Kelsey.
My doctor and Kelsey's doctor gave us the okay to go home a day early. It was fun to dress her up in pink and get ready to introduce her to her new home. I love the boots! Thanks, Mom!

Chris looks so proud of his new baby daughter. I love this picture...so sweet.
Ready to go home.
